Building with Curves
I'm starting to wonder whether or not new materials making curvy things possible is worth all the geometric complexity. Above is a ridge rafter beam, which as a composite in this situation can span sixty feet.
My file is now 16.00MB. With a ten-year old computer it crashes just trying to position a component. Above are conical SIPs, structural insulating panels that I intend to install as curved 4 by 8 panels, approximately. They all get a little shorter as they stack up the roof.
I've since flipped this conical shape upside down and tried to merge it at the ridgeline.
