Switching Gears
I am going from casting concrete against the railroad dock to topping it off with masonry blocks.
Completed with Paint.
Masonry veneer 80% completed.
After concrete.
With nine pours completed the pig-iron is entirely encapulated by fiber-glass reinforced concrete mix.
Before pig iron slag demolition.
Side view depicting the amount of slag that was to be removed to make the dock flush and plumb to the concrete on top.
The degree of slump for a two bag mix I tried to keep as low as possible. A spade shovel which I used to place the mix would easily stand in it without falling.
A progess picture nearing the end showing the tin placement chute.
