Fine tuning this project I think of wrapping it partially with carpeting and putting holes through it at the corners.
I am now wondering if I can laminate thin layers of bamboo to make the wheel and give it a guide on the back. With a suitable roller guide I can then trap it inside the case and utilize the "play holes" for access to the adjustment bolts.
